Drum Rim
The metal rim around the opening of a front load washing machine is constantly exposed to water during loading and unloading. In Qatar’s humidity, any moisture left on this rim after use will accelerate rust formation. Drum rim rust is particularly problematic because it transfers rust marks directly onto clothing during the wash cycle.
External Cabinet Panels
Chips, scratches, or dents in the painted exterior of the machine expose bare metal to Qatar’s humid air. Even minor surface damage can become a rust spot within weeks if left untreated in Qatar’s climate.
Detergent Drawer Housing
The area around the detergent drawer is frequently exposed to moisture from detergent residue and condensation. In high humidity conditions like those in Qatar, rust can develop around the metal edges of the drawer housing if it is not kept clean and dry.
Water Inlet Filter and Connections
Metal fittings around the water inlet connections at the back of the machine are exposed to both moisture and Qatar’s hard water mineral deposits. This combination accelerates corrosion around these critical connection points.
Internal Drum Surface
If the enamel coating inside the drum develops even a small chip or crack, the exposed metal beneath will rust quickly in Qatar’s conditions. Internal drum rust is serious because it can permanently stain clothes and damage delicate fabrics.
